What I do:

Cuban Percussion

I’ve always loved Latin music, and was honored to be nominated for Grammys as musical director of Tony Ham’s Tortilla Factory. Having made soulful connections for life in Cuba, I have performed with Los Jubilados del Caribe, Septeto Tivolí, Maikel “La Bandera” Salazar, and the Museo del Carnaval, as well as congas San Agustín, San Pedrito, and El Guayabito.

Drumset

Drum set as the perfect multiple percussion setup capable of playing in any style or situation. I’ve toured internationally on this pinnacle of percussion and give thanks to the greats with whom l’ve studied from Joe Porcaro, Ndugu Chancler, Rich Thompson, Jason Treuting, Burleigh Drummond, and many more.

Orchestral Percussion & Mallet Specialist

I started this art form as a nine-year-old via Jason Trueting and Vera Daehlin, went on to study with Joe Porcaro, John Beck, Mitchell Peters, and Matthew Strauss. My love of mallets made me a versatile percussionist and coupled with being part of the Los Angeles lineage of virtuosic teachers.
